Chevrolet Captiva by Sanjay

Captiva is a sports utility vehicle (SUV) manufactured by General Motors (GM). The SUV is known for its sophistication, styling and performance. The versions of Captiva sold in the Indian car market include Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 VCDi, Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 VCDi Xtreme and Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 VCDi AT. The base model Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 VCDi is sold at the price of around Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), while the high-end version Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 VCDi AT is sold at around Rs. 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Chevrolet Captiva has overall length of 4660 mm, overall width of 1870 mm and overall height of 1755 mm. The SUV with wheel base of 2705 mm, has ground clearance of 197 mm. The 5-door vehicle can comfortably sit 7 persons.

The refined engine of Captiva is a pleasure for drivers. The 1991 cc engine of the SUV offers power of 150 PS @ 4000 rpm and torque of 320 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The refined engine of the car offers mileage of 11.5 km/liter on highways, mileage of 9.5 km/liter on city roads and overall it offers mileage of 11.2 km/liter. Chevrolet Captiva is loaded with various features like air conditioner, power windows, power door locks, power steering, traction control, immobilizer, cup holders, folding rear-seat, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, central locking, steering adjustment, tachometer, front fog lights, rear defroster and leather seats. The safety related features of the SUV include anti-lock braking system, driver air-bags, passenger air-bags and child safety locks. Chevrolet Captiva is sold in India in the following colors - granada black, kandinsky red, linen beige, poly silver and pearl white.

In India, GM also sells other cars like Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet U VA, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Tavera Neo, Chevrolet Tavera Neo 2, Chevrolet Optra Magnum and Chevrolet Cruze. The luxury sedan Cruze was launched in India in October 2009. The small car Beat was launched at the Auto Expo in New Delhi in January 2010. With the launch, the company aims to increase the sales volume of its cars in the fast growing small car market of India.
